Game 049 [Written/Voice]
[ Sometime in the early afternoon, the following question goes out over the journals. The camera is covered, and the handwriting is disguised. ]
Let's have a thought experiment. Say you were dying, and the only possible way to save yourself is to get help from someone very close to you. However, you don't know for sure that this help will indeed save you, and whether or not it does, there's a chance that it will damage the one helping you. Trying to help you might even kill them.
Do you ask for their help anyway? Would you accept their help if they offered it?
[ Later on in the evening, Joshua makes a separate post from the previous, this one voiced and not anonymous. ]

Hey Neku, are you busy tomorrow?

[A VERY VERY FRUSTRATED GROWL. Ugh, okay, he's done with this. Neku is climbing out of Joshua's bed now. Carefully. His body still feels kind of weird.]

He's not entirely sure what he's going to do now, but seeing that Neku has the strength to move around is more of a relief than he wants to admit. ]

How long have I been out anyway? An hour?

Yes. Think what you will of me, but this was the decision I made.

He knows better than to respond, "No, you don't." Of course Neku doesn't. Joshua isn't telling him enough for him to get it.
And really, it probably should have been this way all along. But if it had been, he probably wouldn't have gotten close enough to Neku to be able to use him again like this in the first place. ]
You can stay as long as you need to. Everything else aside, believe me, you don't want to be pushing yourself.
[ Not after going through that. ]

[He'll crawl home if he has to. Without waiting for a response, Neku turns to leave the room.]

Still, this means it's Joshua's turn to crawl into bed. Playing Shibuya's Music for over two days with little rest has not treated Joshua the kindest.
But they're both alive, and Shibuya might be safe. That's the best he can hope for right now. ]
